MZA
Manuel Zeitlin Architects recently transitioned from a founder-owned to an employee-owned model. The new co-owners partnered with Circa to subtly transition their branding to reflect these changes and distinguish the entity from its founder, Manuel Zeitlin. Rebranded as "MZA," this playful, adaptive branding is inspired by the work of Kasimir Malevich and retains the firm’s original brand authority while carving out a new era for the team.

The Objective
Subtly transition MZA’s branding to reflect the leadership changes and distinguish the entity from its founder, Manuel Zeitlin while retaining brand authority.
“Our work with Circa focused on refreshing MZA’s visual identity, and the result has given us a strong foundation that honors the firm’s history while supporting where we’re headed.”

“The logo system and brand guide strike a thoughtful balance between legacy and progress, helping reflect our evolution into a shared ownership structure while maintaining the character and values that have defined MZA for decades. The process was open and collaborative, which was perfectly aligned with the way we like to work!”
